Our Story

Hi, I’m Carleigh Adams, founder and lead planner of Marrying Magnolias. As a wedding and event planner, my greatest joy is helping bring your vision to life—whether it’s an intimate celebration or a once-in-a-lifetime wedding day. I strive to create experiences that are beautiful, memorable, and entirely stress-free. Every event is as unique as the people behind it, and I love crafting moments that feel personal, heartfelt, and joy-filled.

Born and raised in a small town in East Texas, I’ve always been the go-to planner in my family—whether it was for reunions, birthday parties, or surprise anniversary celebrations. I graduated from Texas A&M University – Commerce with a degree in Accounting and Criminal Justice, and for several years, worked as a branch manager in the finance world. But everything changed in 2020. When the pandemic led to the closure of our bank, I found myself stepping into something I’d always loved: event planning.

At the time, I had taken on a few weddings for friends—just as a favor—but I quickly realized this wasn’t just a side hobby. It was my calling. I had always loved organizing and decorating, but now I had the chance to do it with purpose. In May of 2020, I took a leap of faith and launched Marrying Magnolias—a business rooted in creativity, connection, and celebrating life’s most meaningful moments.

Since then, I’ve had the honor of serving clients—helping bring to life weddings, proms, city events, school functions, and milestone celebrations. I’ve loved every minute of it. Whether I’m designing a tablescape, finalizing a timeline, or cheering you on from behind the scenes, I’m committed to making your day everything you’ve dreamed of and more.
